In today's realities, demining and explosives handling require a reliable, mobile and safe tool. One of these solutions is a demolition (sapper) machine «OneShot» MNL-OS-S700-2H, created by the Ukrainian company Midnight Lab.
What is a OneShot blasting machine
The OneShot detonator is a capacitor device for electrically detonating mines, ammunition and other explosives through a firing circuit. It is used to remotely trigger electric detonators, allowing the operator to remain at a safe distance.
Despite its compact size, the OneShot delivers enough energy to reliably trigger typical electric fuses, making it a useful tool for Ukrainian army sappers, volunteer groups and training centers.
Main technical characteristics
- Device type: capacitor blasting machine with energy storage in a capacitor.
- Maximum voltage: up to 400 V.
- Energy: about 5 joules, which meets the standards for most electric detonators.
- Permissible network resistance: 0-350 ohms, which includes typical fuzing circuits.
These parameters allow OneShot to be used with different types of mines, charges and explosives, regardless of the specific detonator manufacturer.
Security and control functions
One of the main advantages of OneShot is its built-in security system:
- Short circuit protectionI - the device does not operate when a short circuit occurs in the circuit.
- Network testing function - before detonation, the system checks whether the circuit is closed and only after confirmation allows switching on.
- Charge level indicator - The sapper can always see if the device is ready for use.
The device also has high moisture resistance, which is important for operation in real combat conditions.
Mobility and ergonomics
- Weight: only 260 g, which makes the machine easy to carry.
- DimensionsApproximately 55×35×150 mm, which allows it to fit in a backpack or on a belt pouch.
- The kit: the device itself, a belt pouch, a set of test resistors, and a USB Type-C cable for charging.
Charging via USB Type-C ensures compatibility with laptops, power banks, and other sources, which is critical for field use.
Resource and efficiency
The manufacturer claims that the OneShot can perform up to 700 triggers without completely recharging the battery if short charge-discharge cycles are performed.
This resourcefulness makes OneShot very beneficial for:
- large-scale demining operations;
- training firing and drills;
- use in several crews in turn.
Where OneShot MNL is used
The OneShot MNL-OS-S700-2H is already included in official procurement for the Armed Forces and volunteer programs - for example, the Ternopil City Council purchased and handed over ten of these machines to demining units, emphasizing that they really do save lives.
In addition to military applications, such devices can be used to control explosions and dismantle unexploded ordnance, as well as in sapper training centers and military technical schools.
MNL's OneShot blasting machine is a..:
- A Ukrainian product with real military use;
- A reliable and safe tool with built-in security features.
